KVS Librarian know called as Teacher Librarian (TL)

Teacher-librarian: The designation of librarian in a Kendriya Vidyalay is hereafter renamed as “Teacher-librarian” (TL). This is to represent the active and collaborative role the librarians play in the teaching and learning processes as per the curriculum needs of the students and teachers. Now the Librarian is not only the custodian of library resources but also a teacher, instructional partner, information specialist, and program administrator. In the teacher role, the school librarian develops and implements curricula relating to information literacy and inquiry. A Teacher-librarian supports and implements the vision of his/her school communities through advocating and building effective library and information services and programs that contribute to the development of lifelong learners.
